flagship residential program

Leading the way in our community through the love of Christ, Elizabeth House provides a residential program and life-long personalized care for pregnant and parenting women and their children. This is done through a holistic program that addresses physical, emotional, spiritual, and economic needs.

Most of the women who enter our home have experienced the intergenerational impact of trauma and need both safety and healing.

  • 40% were raised in foster care and/or homelessness

  • 70% have been victims of sexual and domestic violence

  • 100% fall below the state/federal poverty line

  • 75% became / are becoming single mothers before the age of 25

  • 49% do not have a high school diploma and 72% do not have any college or secondary education

alumni program

Once women and their children transition from our residential program, we stay connected through our robust alumni services. This includes case management and therapy, access to our donations center, community groups, and quarterly workshops and newsletters. One of the highlights of this program are the Sisterhood Community groups. Through this program, the women of Elizabeth House come together and share in their similar journeys. It has become a beautiful way to celebrate and lift each other up.

Our Story

Our story began nearly 25 years ago with one woman’s empathy and another’s home. We remain one of the only shelters in the San Gabriel valley addressing homelessness and pregnancy and stay in touch with our mothers far beyond their stay with us. Learn more.
